REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSIONS

BASIC Requirements for ALL students applying to the Florence Institute of Design International :

1. Students should be at least 18 years of age
2. Students need a high school diploma or equivalent
3. Students need to submit most recent transcript ( high school or university) with their application.


MASTER LEVEL Requirements:
Acceptance for master courses depends on the student’s prior level of experience. Master level courses are challenging and students will need adapt experience for admission. It is required that the student possesses a degree in a compatible design major for acceptance. Students should submit a portfolio of 3 projects together with their applicaiton. Submission of a portfolio also makes sudents eligible to request Financial Aid.

Master Portfolio Requirements:
All Master applicants submit a portfolio consisting of only three (3) examples of their latest work. Portfolio projects should be sent in digital format by Email, CD-Rom, DVD, Website or Post. If you are sending large emails over 10MB we ask you to use a free file transfer system such as www.senduit.com.

.: Portfolio Master of Interior Design can be three (3) examples of any of the following: interior designs, architectural designs, or industrial designs. Please specify if any projects were collborative effors such as group projects or professional practice.

.: Portfolio Master of Graphic Design can be three (3) examples of any of the following: graphic designs, drawings, paintings, photographs, digital media, or design.

ACADEMIC LEVEL: Academic level students need meet the three (3) basic requirements above. Students seeking aid should apply as early as possible and submit a portfolio or essay as expliained on the page for Financial Aid.

 

SEMESTER ABROAD (Undergraduate) :
Students already enrolled at a university who are enrolling for a 'semester abroad' should contact us for a 'Course Approval Form' to be then compled by the director at their current university and submitted together with their application.
